Born during the making of the movie Urban Cowboy, Steve's country roots run deep, and growing up throughout Houston, his grit and determination helped him survive. It was those qualities that pushed him to become a member of the Coast Guard Honor Guard and then, later, as a Navy Corpsman stationed with the Marines, earning him the coveted title of "Doc". As a disabled U.S. Navy veteran, he plays and writes songs that capture the raw, sincere nature of being a veteran and the struggles we face afterwards. Whether playing to a packed house or a small venue, his mission remains to forge genuine connections through the shared melodies and true stories that unite us all in this life.
